Charity Open Day
This is the second year of our popular annual Carrol Boyes Charity Open Day Sale in Pretoria! It’s going to be even bigger and better than last years’ event! It’s a wonderful and unique opportunity to buy your favourite Carrol Boyes products at amazing discounts, shop for early Christmas gifts and support two worthy charities, all at the same time.
Monkeybiz is a charity close to Carrol’s heart, with 450 bead artists employed by this non-profit organisation, focusing on reviving the art of beadwork, alleviating poverty and empowering women, whilst harnessing the creative spirit within.
Dignity Dreams faces the growing concern that sanitary wear products are too expensive for many girls and women in South Africa who have to make the decision between purchasing bread to eat and sanitary towels to wear. It is because of this that we manufacture SABS absorbency approved, re-usable, washable sanitary pads, as well as provide menstrual health education in the form of interactive talks and our pocket booklet. We aim to provide 108 000 packs (which amounts to R21.6 million for the costs of the packs only) to 1000 schools and communities over the next 3 years but require the funding to do so. Dignity Dreams hopes to secure R600 000 per month in sponsors and donations to provide these young girls with our sanitary packs.
Dignity Dreams’ biggest achievement since inception in 2013 has been the successful rollout of 66 000 packs to school girls. We are also privileged to say we hold the 2014 – Winner of the Year, Charity Section 2014 – Glamour Magazine award and the 2013 - Drivers of Change Award finalist titles.
Dates : Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd June, 2017 Time : 09h00 until 17h00
